Multi-Beam XL From the world leader in power
connectors, Multi-Beam XL™ has become a de-facto standard for modular hot-swappable power distribution
connection systems. The heart of the Multi-Beam XL™ connector is the unique power contact which offers
higher current ratings, 55 Amps on a single contact (at 30 degree C temp-rise), lower contact resistance
(only 0.7 milli-ohms at end-of- life conditions) and lower mating forces than alternative designs.
The product is available in both
board-to-board and cable-to-board designs. Board-to-board versions are available in
solder or press-fit pcb terminations and cable-to-board versions terminate up to 8 AWG, 600V wire. Both
versions are complimented by the highly modular production platform. Many custom variations in number of
power and/or signal contacts can now be produced with little or no tooling investment required from the
customer. Multi-Beam XL™ provides eXpandable Length and
eXtra Long wipe with a minimum of 0.100 inches wipe on the shortest
signal contacts and 0.200 inches of wipe on the long (make-first-break-last) power contacts.

Applications
Ideal for blind-mating in modular, rack mounted, and
1U systems. Typical applications include Power Distribution for compact computer servers up through
High-End servers, Fault-tolerant computers and Telecommunication Switches. The compact design also meets
the I/O needs of modern Modular and Hot-swappable redundant (N+1) Power Supplies and Uninterruptible
Power Supplies.
